A total of 43 riders from 19 countries will compete in the 2009/2010 Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final at the Palexpo Arena in Geneva, Switzerland next week from 14-18 April.  The final list of riders and horses are now published by the FEI. Title holder from 2008/ 2009, Meredith Michales-Beerbaum, will not be defending her title due to that it is only six weeks since she gave birth to her first baby daughter.

GAL AND TOTILAS TRIUMPH AT S´HERTOGENBOSCH FINAL

The Netherlands´ Edward Gal and the super-stallion Moorlands Totilas overcame all the pressure and tension to claim the 25th anniversary FEI World Cup™ Dressage title in s´Hertogenbosch this afternoon.  Gal´s stallion was tipped to take the honours throughout the entire 2009/2010 FEI World Cup™ Dressage season during which he secured his third record-breaking score of 2009 at London Olympia last December.

BENGTSSON BAGS THE HONOURS IN THE LAST QUALIFIER AT ´S-HERTOGENBOSCH

Sweden´s Rolf-Goran Bengtsson scorched to victory in the last qualifying leg of the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping series at ´s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands today when pipping Ireland´s Jessica Kuerten by the smallest of margins.  In a thrilling 16-horse jump-off that kept spectators rooted to their seats it was Kuerten who seemed to have set an impossibly fast target for the rest when eighth to go against the clock.  But the coolest of cool Swedes cruised home to shave one-tenth of a second off her time when last to go with his 11 year old stallion Casall la Silla.

JESSICA AND LIBERTINA TAKE GOTHENBURG BY STORM

Ireland´s Jessica Kuerten nearly brought the roof down at the Scandinavium arena in Gothenburg, Sweden today with a rip-roaring ride from Castle Forbes Libertina that scooped their second victory of the 2009/2010 Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping season.  It´s getting down to the wire now with only one qualifying leg remaining and every precious point counting towards a place at the series final in Geneva, but Kuerten has cruised into a qualifying spot with the greatest of ease and today´s victory suggests she will be one of the favourites when the final kicks off at the Swiss venue next month.
